Meet Lucky, Our Beloved Rescue Pup

Lucky joined our team in 2013 and has been our official “meeter and greeter” ever since. His journey to us was anything but easy. As a young pup, Lucky was hit by a car and ended up in a high-kill shelter in Orlando. But thanks to the incredible kindness of our friend and customer, Michelle Sampson Carlson, of Gimme Shelter Pets, his story took a turn for the better.  

Michelle became Lucky’s angel, rescuing him from the shelter and sponsoring the surgeries he needed to recover from his injuries. She asked us to foster him during his recovery, and we gladly took him in. With love and care, Lucky transformed from a sad and timid pup into the goofy, outgoing dog who greets every visitor with joy and enthusiasm.

As you might have guessed, Lucky quickly stole our hearts, and our “foster” became forever. Just like the furniture we create, Lucky has been reclaimed and restored!

Here's our prior Mascot, Petey, pictured above at one of his favorite parks, Myakka State Park.  We adopted Petey from Humane Society of Sarasota County.  Petey retired over the rainbow bridge in 2013, but he's still in our hearts and minds.

In honor of Lucky and Petey, we support and do fundraisers for the local animal charities.  Join us as we support the community organizations that find homes for all the dogs and cats in Sarasota, Bradenton and Venice.
